I (Francis) write blog posts in two languages: an English entry, then a “~~~” separator, then a French blurb.

When viewing my latest post Michelle asked: “Why do you write a similar story twice?”

Turns out her web browser has the “auto-translate” feature turned on so my French prose is translated into English. I’m not here to judge if AI translates better than me; I’m just saying if you want the OG version simply turn auto-translate off…

Je (Francis) blogue dans les deux langues officielles: un truc en anglais, suivi par une démarcation genre “~~~”, puis sensiblement le même truc en français.

Quand Michelle a lu une de mes entrées, elle m’a demandé: “Mais pourquoi t’écris deux fois la même chose?”

Ce n’est pas le cas! Mais son appli web traduit automatiquement la partie en français, donc tout apparaît en anglais. Pour enrayer ce mécanisme shakespearien (si ça vous arrive), suffit de désactiver la traduction automatique!
