As a reward for being oncall for the past 5 out of 7 weeks I treated myself to a week-end in the Eastern Townships, where I grew up. Mich and the kids stayed in Waterloo so it was a trip “en solo”. On Friday, the ski gods set the temperature to -2C so my Dad and I went to Vermont to ski Jay Peak. Was it Jay at its peak? Snow conditions were amazing! It was windy so they shut down the tram at lunch time but we managed to find an area shielded from the wind and had a ski day we’ll remember for a long time! The rest of the week-end was spent indoors, with a cocktail of snow, wind and cold never seen since 1920.

Comme récompense pour avoir été de garde au bureau au cours de 5 des 7 dernières semaines, je me suis dirigé en solo vers mes Cantons de l’Est. Vendredi, les dieux du ski ont été cléments, P’pa et moi en avons profité pour aller skier à Jay Peak. Journée mémorable, les conditions de neige étaient superbes. Venteux, oui (ils ont dû fermer le tram à cause du vent à midi), pas grave on s’est trouvé un versant à l’abri et on s’en est donné à coeur joie! Le reste du week-end fut passé à l’intérieur, dû au cocktail de neige, froid et vent, du jamais vu depuis 1920.
