Toilettes
After 6 countries and countless rest stops along the way, we have definitely seen a lot of toilets/WC/washrooms… etc. Sometimes it is hard to decipher male/female (although I think this picture from an Italian restaurant in The Netherlands was quite clever!), and we have seen some Ally McBeal (i.e. unisex) bathrooms as well. The kids are learning to be tolerant, and we are always prepared with kleenex and hand sanitizer in our knapsack. It is always good to have a few Euros in your pocket as well because sometimes you have to pay to use the bathrooms… our word of the year is “different” and bathrooms definitely fit into this category!
