Désalpe

For a foodie who loves being in the mountains, the past couple of days have been terrific! Today we went to a desalpe (“un-Alps”), a celebration of the end of summer. Farmers bring back their cows from high up in the mountains, walking from village to village, it’s a big party. Then we went to the Cailler chocolate factory and Michelle Stinson Coulombe had a really, really good time sampling their creations! Then off to Gruyères for yet another fantastic meal, with raclette and double-crème meringues. And wine too. J’adore!

On trippe fort!

This cow is made of chocolate. Milk chocolate I’d guess
